India is the land of diversity. So, it goes without saying that its fragrances are just as varied as its states, if not more. From east to west and north to south, everywhere you go in India, you will find yourself discovering a certain fragrance that you might never be able to forget for the rest of your life. That's how beautifully intoxicating the air of this country is. It can teach a mere tourist what goes on in a perfumery. 


The people of India hold fragrances very close to their hearts. Their homes are always fragrant with the often mild and sometimes strong smell of incense sticks. Most Indians burn them regularly as a form of worship, no matter what religion they belong to. They burn it religiously, in the most literal and the most figurative sense ever. That might be a paradox, but the faith of Indians in their Gods and their relationship with fragrance is no joke. 


So, it can be said that the fragrance of India is what is holding them close together. The perfumeries are the binding force that is reinforcing the "unity in diversity" motto. The people of India are quite big on floral scents and oud fragrance. If they are out of their favorite perfume, Indian women won't shy away from wearing their favorite flower on the side of their hair, tucking it in the back of their ear. That's the charm of Indian women, and it is what sets them apart from everyone and everything else in this whole wide world. You will never regret your decision to buy perfume in India. 


Even if we don't talk about traditional perfumes, India has enough scents from its delicious food that can put the greatest designer perfumes to shame. Perhaps it is for this reason that the tourists who visit India every year can never truly forget the fragrance of this country.
